Who we are
A standards firm, built in Africa, working with global rules.
Most organisations do not fail their audits because they lack intent. They fail because governance sits in one document, risk in another, and day-to-day operations somewhere else entirely. A4S exists to close that gap.
We are an independent audit, advisory, assurance and assessment firm with offices in Lagos, Abuja and Accra, serving clients across Africa, the United Kingdom and North America. Our work spans six practices — governance and risk, technology and cyber, sustainability, quality and safety, human resources, and artificial intelligence — unified by one method: assess against a recognised standard, design the system, embed it with the people who will run it, then audit it honestly.
We hold our own ISO 9001:2015 certification, are accredited by the Federal Ministry of Environment, and are registered with SCUML in Nigeria and the Public Procurement Authority in Ghana. We ask clients to meet a bar we already meet ourselves.

SCUML registration
Registered with the Special Control Unit against Money Laundering under Section 17(2)(a) of the Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act.
Environmental consultant accreditation
Accredited by the Federal Ministry of Environment to operate as an environmental consultant.
Public Procurement Authority
Registered as a supplier, contractor and consultant with the Public Procurement Authority, and registered under the Data Protection Act 2012 (Act 843).
How we work
Four stages, in this order, every time.
The sequence matters: skipping the assessment is why most certification projects stall in year two.
Assess
A gap assessment against the chosen standard, scored clause by clause, with a maturity baseline you can re-measure later. We also run this as a free diagnostic for HR and management systems.
Design
Policies, processes, risk registers, control libraries and the documented information the standard actually requires — written for your operating reality, not lifted from a template.
Implement
Accredited training, awareness campaigns and hands-on embedding with the teams who will run the system after we leave. Certification for your people, not just your organisation.
Assure
Internal audit, management review, corrective action and readiness for the certification body — then surveillance support so the system holds through year two and three.
