Train Africans on Sustainability (TAS) Initiative
Train Africans on Sustainability (TAS) is a flagship capacity-building initiative designed to empower Africans with the knowledge, mindset, and practical skills required to drive sustainable development across governance, business, and society.
Our vision is clear: an Africa where sustainability is not merely an agenda, but a deeply embedded culture. Through structured training, certification, and thought leadership, TAS equips professionals, leaders, and citizens to integrate sustainability into decision-making, operations, and daily life.
Our mission is to train, certify, and inspire a new generation of African sustainability champions who can translate global frameworks into local impact. The initiative is anchored on internationally recognized standards and frameworks, including:
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs – 2030 Agenda)
ISO 53001 and ISO 53002 for sustainability management and innovation
IWA 48 for ESG alignment and sustainable organizational operations
With a bold target to train 50,000 Africans within five years, TAS is building a continent-wide ecosystem of sustainability-literate professionals capable of shaping resilient institutions, responsible businesses, and inclusive growth.
Join us to train, transform, and thrive — for Africa, for the planet, for tomorrow.
